Feeling overwhelmed is usually the result of disorganization and/or too much to do - but rarely do you need to continue to feel stressed. Taking 30 minutes to organize your thoughts and form a plan can help you approach your life with a little more calm. Carve out some time (even if it's broken up throughout the day, or if it means you need to stay up a little later or wake a little earlier - it will be worth it)
Make a giant list of everything that's on your mind, everything you need to do, events coming up, projects that need planning or ideas that need to be fleshed out. Don't worry about organizing this list or making it pretty, just get all of the thoughts out of your mind and onto paper (or into a word doc or a task app or whatever you prefer).
Look at your list and start to break down everything into different sections based on the following:
Category A - these are important and urgent tasks that need to be completed by you and by a specific due date (like a work deadline or finding an outfit for an upcoming wedding)
Category B - these are important but non-urgent tasks, they need to be done by you, but the due date isn't specific (like making a doctor appointment)
Category C - these are not important (as in, if they don't get done, there's no actual consequence - such as getting your hair done or painting a bedroom) but you'd like to get it done in the near future
Category D - these are tasks that can be outsourced to someone else, you don't need to complete them by yourself (such as getting an oil change or hiring a maid service)
